You should try some Chateau Tirecul La Gradiére Mobazillac ‘Les Pins’ 2013 19. Oh, and you should definitely get a car to drive around. In the Dordogne and Bergerac regions of France, a glass of Monbazillac is likely to accompany the local foie gras the slight whiff of smokiness, the nutty aromas, and viscosity, make Monbazillac a perfect complement for foie gras. I’d recommend arriving at Brive like we did and flying out of Bergerac but if you wanted to, you could flip it around and reverse the itinerary. It’s how people live and thrive and nothing is done to impress you or show off to you – which in the end actually impresses you even more than if they’d been trying to. Despite this, I thought it was stunning with the buildings hewed of honey-colored stone and accented with brightly painted wooden shutters and bursts of spring flowers.
